Your Statutory Responsibility
If you have a bookkeeper or an accountant, we can help to set up your accounting system and teach your staff how to establish sound accounting practices and procedures.
We can give you a set of monthly management accounts that we will prepare, whether from the information that we captured or the information that your staff have captured. The choice is yours.
The detail of monthly management accounts will also depend on what you want. If you are happy that you have a good handle on your business, we can simply compile a set of accounts to accurately reflect what is going on in your business.
However, most of our clients prefer us to prepare a more detailed set of accounts that we discuss in a one-on-one meeting every month. This allows us to give you the benefit of our many years of experience in order to improve the day to day running of your business and more importantly, your bottom line.
How can we help you?
You are required by law to keep adequate accounting records to fulfill all of your statutory reporting requirements. Some of these requirements are driven by the Companies Act but most are driven by The South African Revenue Services (SARS).
You either need to employ a bookkeeper or an accountant or we will gladly do all of the grunt work for you.
Monthly accounts are necessary to:
- Help you make decisions directly affecting the running and profitability of your company
- Ensure you meet your payroll and monthly employee tax obligations (PAYE, SDL and UIF)
- Ensure you discharge you VAT obligations (if applicable)
- Make sure you submit all income tax returns on time so that you do not incur unnecessary interest and penalties (ouch!)
